Parish Leadership

Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council serves as the primary representative and consultative voice of the parishioners of St. Mary Parish in dialogue and cooperation with the pastor and staff of the parish to promote a vibrant and faith-filled parish life. Parishioners are elected to serve on the Council for a three-year term. Councils will meet on a monthly basis. Each member of the Parish Pastoral Council also serves as a Council liaison on other sub-committees that each on the first Thursday of each month.

Lifelong Faith Enrichment Committee
The "Lifelong Faith Enrichment Committee" is a standing committee of the Pastoral Council that oversees all spiritual formation and catechetical opportunities provided to all parish members. It includes Adult Formation, RCIA, Faith Formation for school-age children, St. Mary School, Liturgy of the Word for Children, parish missions, and retreat opportunities.

Hospitality and Stewardship Committee
The mission of the Hospitality and Stewardship Committee will welcome new members to our faith community while enhancing the socialization of all members through organized activities, as well as promoting and providing the opportunity for all parish members to become engaged in parish activities.

Liturgy Committee
The mission of the Liturgy Committee is to create meaningful worship to meet the spiritual needs of our parishioners within the Catholic Tradition. The Liturgy Committee meets to make long-term decisions for the liturgical content of the Masses, including special movements through the Advent and Lenten season.

Pastoral Ministry Committee
The "Pastoral Ministry Committee" is a standing committee of the Pastoral Council that assures the pastoral spiritual needs of parish members, particularly in ministry to the sick and elderly, those in car facilities or confined to their homes, the needs of the disabled or unable to participate in normal parish activities.

Community Outreach Committee
The mission of the Community Outreach is to raise awareness and provide resources to the parish reflective of Catholic Social teaching, and to provide opportunities of outreach on both local and global social issues.

Finance Council
The primary responsibility of the Finance Council is to assist the pastor in his decisions concerning financial matters that affect the life and pastoral activity of the parish. Additional responsibilities of the Council in cooperation with the pastor and staff include making financial provisions for the spiritual enrichment and growth of the faith community; developing and monitoring the parish budget; engaging in a continuous process of long-range financial planning for the parish based on its needs and resources; setting financial goals and establishing corresponding priorities for the parish as it strives to realize its vision for the future as stated in its mission statement and as outlined in its strategic plan.

Building and Grounds Committee
The "Building & Grounds Committee" guides the development and maintenance of parish property. With proper care and maintenance, we and our parish facilities will be around for a long time. By joining this committee, you will help to demonstrate that a little timely work can go a long way. You may also find that you gain more that you give.

Investment & Estate Planning Committee
The Investment and Estate Planning Committee is a standing committee of the Finance Council at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. The committee is responsible for the oversight of the management of all parish investments including the School Endowment, making recommendations to the Finance Council. It serves to take a pro-active approach to both the encouragement and procurement of major gifts and estates.
