Reconciliation during advent

As we prepare for the coming of Christ into the world, we pause to reflect on ourselves and how we have lived the Gospel of Christ. In doing so, we examine our relationship with God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

In doing this, we call to mind our sins so that we are better prepared to open ourselves wholly to the message of Christ and are truly ready to live the Gospel in our prayers, words, and actions.

2020 Reconciliation Opportunities

To assure the safety of all, we will not celebrate Communal Reconciliation during Advent this year.  Instead, Private Reconciliation will be scheduled multiple times throughout the Season of Advent. A priest will be available in church to hear confessions at the times listed below.

Note: All confessions will be heard at St. Mary OTIC in Portage unless otherwise noted with an *. These confessions will be heard at St. Mary HOC in Briggsville.

Because of COVID safety protocols, confessions will not be heard face-to-face. A chair and a kneeler will be placed outside the confessional area where you may partake in the Sacrament. We ask that you also wear a face covering or mask to protect you and the priest.

These safety protocols are important to providing a safe opportunity to partake in the Sacrament of Reconciliation while keeping in mind the severity of the pandemic situation.
