Run/Walk InformationCome join us for the St. Mary's 5k Run/Walk and 1 mile Run/Walk as part of the Rededication Festival. Seasoned runners and short distance walkers are all welcome to participate and enjoy the Portage area in a unique way. The race course highlights our beautiful city for the flat 5k run/walk. Everyone registered prior to 6/5/2021 will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Those registered after 6/5 will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
Race Location: ST. MARY SCHOOL • 307 W COOK STREET • PORTAGE, WI 53701 Events: 1 MILE RUN/WALK • Start: 8:00 AM • 5K RUN/WALK • Start: 8:30 AM. Age Divisions: MALE/FEMALE (5K RUN): 10 & under • 11-13 • 14-16 • 17-20 • 21-25 • 26-29 • 30-39 • 40-49 • 50-59 • 60 & over Fees & Race Information: All pre-registered participants receive t-shirt. Day before and race day registration cannot guarantee t-shirt. (There will be no re-order of shirts). Day of race there will be granola bars and water and pre/post race music. Ribbon Cutting/Morning PrayerJoin us for this ecumenical service, which will officially open the renovated church to the public! The service will begin at the east entrance to the church at 10:00 with a few speakers and a ribbon cutting. People will make their way into the church to celebrate with Scripture Readings, Musical Reflections, and Community Building with people from across different faith traditions. All faiths welcome! x
Church ToursAre you interested in learning more about the entire renovation process at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception? Find out more about the sequence of events for the renovation of the church from the people who were involved in making the decisions that would shape the direction of the project. Hear, first-hand, from the parishioners, employees, and other community members who helped to make this happen. These self-guided tours will allow you to freely explore the renovated church and will provide insight at several stops along the way. Tours run from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM. x
Vendor FairAside from being an event for the parish community, we also recognize the lasting impact that the Portage community has had on how we practice our faith. Come on out to the Vendor Fair, which will feature local vendors from the Portage area. Check out one of these amazing vendors, located on W. Conant St. outside of the St. Mary School Gymnasium. The Vendor Fair will run from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM. x
Family ActivitiesChildren's Games, Yard Games, Adult Games, OH MY! With something for the whole family to enjoy, we invite you to join us for hours of family fun! Beginning at 10:30 AM, check out all of the fun opportunities that we have for you and the family to enjoy. All games will happen outside of the big tent between the church and the school. Family Activities will run from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM. x
Food Trucks & Live EntertainmentGrab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks that have been brought in for this special event. With a variety of options, there is sure to be an option that caters to everyone in the family. Then, snag your seat under the tent for an afternoon full of live entertainment from local musicians. Rededication MassNow this, you won't want to miss! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is open to any and all who wish to celebrate the consecration of a new altar and blessing of a new baptismal font at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. The Most Reverend Donald Hying, Bishop of Madison, will be joining us to usher in a new era of Catholic worship in the Portage community. The doors to the Worship Space will open at 3:30 PM. The Mass will begin at 4:00 PM. x
Evening ActivitesLet the celebration begin! We kick-off our evening activities with a free-will offering Pig Roast Dinner underneath the big tent. Food will be available until it all runs out. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us from the greater community! Dinner begins at 5:00 PM. Throughout the dinner, enjoy the live music of Joy Bauman with anything from musical theatre to movie music. Chat with a friend, dance, and sing along to your family favorites! Headliner Band Cheese-Stick Thunder Band plays all of the timeless classics. From 70's rock to contemporary pop, this cover band has all of the bases covered and is sure to have something that everyone can enjoy. The Band will play from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM under the big tent. Sunday • June 12th

Pancake BreakfastWith Mass at 10:00 AM, you have plenty of time to grab a bite to eat with a hearty Pancake Breakfast, sponsored by the Portage Knights of Columbus. Join us beginning at 8:00 AM in the St. Mary School Cafeteria for a free-will offering breakfast! The breakfast will conclude at 11:30 AM following the 10:00 AM Mass. x
Sunday MassJoin us at 10:00 AM for the first weekend Mass with a new time change. A friendly reminder that St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception will combine the 9:30 AM Mass and 11:00 AM Mass going forward. While the consecration of the altar and the blessing of the baptismal font will have taken place the previous evening, this will still be a special Mass that you won't want to miss. x
Blessing of the Date StoneNot all of the ceremonies happened on Saturday. Join us for the final ritual of the weekend, the blessing of the date stone. By blessing the date stone, we prepare for a new ere of Catholic faith in the Portage community. While this brings a formal end to our Rededication Festival, it symbolizes a new beginning for our St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception parish family.. x
Raffle DrawingAre you a winner? There's only one way to find out! Join us at 12:30 PM on Sunday, June 12th for the yearly St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Raffle Drawing. You can purchase tickets for the raffle after the weekend Masses leading up to the Festival. You can also pick-up your packet of raffle tickets from the Parish Offices during normal hours. If you don't get a chance to get any before the Rededication Festival, you can always swing by the table during the weekend to pick up some. The drawing will shared via Facebook Live at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Winner will be announced on the Facebook page, in the parish bulletin, and on the parish website. |

Volunteer
There are three (3) easy ways that you can sign-up to volunteer for the Rededication Festival:
1. Sign up at Mass: You can take the opportunity after any of the weekend Masses to sign-up at the table set up in the Gathering Space. Stop by and check out what still needs to be filled and meet some new people. 2. Sign up with a QR code: You can use your phone, or another device with a camera, and scan the provided QR code to sign up. 3. Sign up Online: Use the button below to take you directly to the online sign-up form for volunteers. |

Are you looking to help out in a different way? We need some donations of smaller food items to be shared with the community throughout the weekend events. What do we need?
- Individual size packages of snacks, ie. chips, goldfish, popcorn, chex mix, puppy chow, cookies, pretzels
- Cookies to be served during the Pig Roast dinner
Any donations can be brought to the Parish Center anytime before the festival begins.
